Green Gold Sustainability Finalists
We were named a finalist in the 2025 Wellington Gold Awards, in the Green Gold Sustainability category, in recognition of our sustainable business practices.
- Saving 4,700 litres of water with our new thermoformer packaging machine.
- Upgrading to CO2 refrigeration with a global warming potential (GWP) of 1.
- Using less packaging by re-using cartons and avoiding strapping where practical.
- Recycling 28,201kg of cardboard and 94kg of film in the last year.
- Replacing vehicles in our fleet with hybrids, with a policy that all new vehicles will be hybrid or electric.
- Replacing the lightbulbs in our office and factory areas with EcoPoint Tri Proof light fittings, with signs reminding people to turn them off when they leave the room.
- Reducing food waste and supporting food equality, both in our own operations and through our work with charities.
- Working with our sister company KAM Transport, who provide 70% of our transport and have lowered their CO2 emissions by 16% through their eco-friendly fleet, CO2 efficiency monitoring and utilisation reports.
