Hamish was born and bred in the meat industry, helping his father Rod Preston from an early age. After finishing his degree and travelling the world, he returned to the family business, and celebrated 20 years of service last year. He served 13 years on the Retail Meat New Zealand Board, including three as President, and has continued to support the organisation long after his time on the board.
