Chuck earns its place on a winter menu with a long, gentle cook. Think beef cooked in stock with onions until tender, then served with mash and the sauce from the pot. It’s a straightforward restaurant special with most of the cooking done ahead of service.
If that same cut is going into your cabinet pies, plan the filling separately. The pieces need to fit the pie, and the sauce needs enough body to stay with them when it’s cut open. Knowing the finished dish helps us sort the dice for your kitchen.
A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
Practical details to help you plan your menu and talk through your order.
Start with the raw beef in your tested recipe and multiply by the number of batches. Four batches using 2 kg each need 8 kg of raw chuck. That is an arithmetic example, not a cooked yield or a promise of a particular number of pies.
You may want smaller pieces for an individual pie so each bite has meat and filling. A larger pie gives you more room for generous pieces. Send the pie size and the dice used in your trial; our team can confirm the preparation available.
Request kilograms in 0.5 kg steps; this is not a pack size or minimum order. We’ll confirm packing, final weights and delivery charges with you. See how to order.
This local preview saves test orders only and takes no payment. Delivery is confirmed separately.
Follow the storage instructions and use-by date on the pack, and keep raw meat separate from ready-to-eat food. Plan opened packs and any thawing through your kitchen’s food control plan. Keep the product label or specification with your records so ingredient and allergen information stays with the batch.
