With lamb mince, the grind is part of the recipe. A finer mince gives a shepherd’s pie filling a more even texture. A coarser grind leaves more bite in a kofta or a lamb burger.
It’s worth trialling the mince in the dish itself before settling on a regular order. The blend and fat content affect how it cooks, so bring us the specification you use, or a clear idea of the result you’re after. We’ll work through the mince with you, whether it’s for one dish or several on the menu.
A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
Practical details to help you plan your menu and talk through your order.
Keep the meat weight separate from onions, herbs, binders and other ingredients. As an example, 2 kg of mince gives twenty 100 g raw meat allocations before those additions. The mixed and cooked portion weights will be different.
Yes. For example, 2 kg or 5 kg packs could be useful options to discuss if they match your prep. These are proposed pack sizes for review, not confirmed formats or minimum orders. Our team will confirm what is available.
Get the current mince specification, then include the ingredients you add, such as breadcrumbs, egg, seasoning or sauces. Keep the finished recipe and preparation controls together; the mince name alone cannot establish the dietary status of the burger.
Request kilograms in 0.5 kg steps; this is not a pack size or minimum order. We’ll confirm packing, final weights and delivery charges with you. See how to order.
This local preview saves test orders only and takes no payment. Delivery is confirmed separately.
Follow the storage instructions and use-by date on the pack, and keep raw meat separate from ready-to-eat food. Plan opened packs and any thawing through your kitchen’s food control plan. Keep the product label or specification with your records so ingredient and allergen information stays with the batch.
